Me, Kate and Darragh on the beach in Spain

We went on holiday! Mummy and daddy wanted to wait until I was a wee bit older, so this year we went on a pre-Halloween holiday to the south of Spain.

We stayed at Uncle David’s family apartment in Elviria, not far from Marbella. From the beach there were views of Africa, Gibraltar, the Sierra Nevada and the Mediterranean (obviously)…

We spent just over a week enjoying 25°C days, chilly, but clear, nights and only one day of rain – although that was when we went to Granada and the Alhambra, which was a bit of a shame!

We visited a the last Fiesta of the summer at San Pedro de Alcántara, with marching bands, ladies in big dresses and lots of pomp and circumstance.

It was sad to leave the beach and the sunshine behind, but it wouldn’t be a holiday if it happened all the time!
