CowParade – The World’s Largest Public Art Event

Me sitting on mummy's cow for the Cow Parade

For the past couple of weeks, a full-size fibreglass cow has been sitting in the hall! We even had to take the front door off to get it in…

My mummy is painting the cow as part of CowParade in Northern Ireland.

Kate’s Birthday

Kate and bubbles

Today was Kate’s birthday. She’s now 8 and had a wonderful time at her birthday party after pretty much the last day of school before summer!

Her party was at her dad’s, where she had no less than two bouncy castles.

One hundred!!

Celebrating my 100th post!

This is my 100th post since I was born way back on 23rd October 2011.

So much has happened since then and I’ve grown so much – little did I know I’d get up to quite so many things and that I’d be able to write about them!

Not a million miles away from crawling

Me lying on the floor

I thought I might give you an update on my progress – physically.

I can now sit up perfectly well on my own. I can lie on the floor and lift up my head… and keep it lifted up (take a look at the photo for proof).

Horsey, horsey don’t you stop…

Kate on the back of Apollo

Kate has always dreamt of having a pony. We don’t have a field big enough though, so it remained a dream… until now!

Actually, she still doesn’t have a pony.

Eleanor, across the road, has two horses though (and a donkey, but that’s a different story).

Our front door

Me with our front door

Long before I was born, mummy was walking past a bric-a-brac shop in Rathmullen, County Donegal. She saw a huge door knocker that she just had to have (I think she didn’t ‘have’ to have it, but… you know what I mean).

Fruit and nut

One of our young apple trees

Daddy has planted quite a few fruit trees over the last couple of years. Apples, plums, damsons and pears.

We put in a few more this winter, thanks to Andy at fruitandnut.ie and they’re growing away very well.

We chose varieties – like Beauty of Bath, D’Arcy Spice and Ardcairn Russet – that should be reasonably well suited to the cool, wet and windy climate here, but only time will tell how well they’ll do.

Carnivale of Colours

Me at the Carnivale of Colours

I spent yesterday afternoon in Derry at the Carnivale of Colours to see Darragh perform.

We were in a big tent with a stripy ceiling and the lighting was really cool (I like lights), so I was kept amused. There was also a really funny man making everyone laugh!

My brother is really Darth Maul

Darragh as Darth Maul

We went to the Carnivale of Colours in Derry yesterday where my brother Darragh was performing on stage.

He’s been involved with the North West Circus School for a while now and is very good at the diabolo.

This is his first performance with the staff and we though he was great!
